Aerobics Fat Loss
Before we discuss the aerobics fat loss correlation let's
quickly recap what is Aerobics.
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength
training routines with the goal of improving all elements
of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness).
Most often it's performed to music and is practiced in a group setting led by an instructor, although it can be done solo and without music.
Many gyms offer a variety of aerobic classes for participants to take. Each class is designed for a certain level of experience and taught by a certified instructor with a specialty area related to their class.
Aerobics Fat Loss - The Mechanism of Fat Burning
Aerobics promotes fat burning by elevating your heart rate and keeping it in the fat burning heart rate zone during the exercise. Once you exercise within your target heart rate fat burning zone your body is in fat burning mode.
However, we must note that everyone has a slightly different fat burning heart rate zone (expressed by a designated range in terms of heart beats per minute - BPM) which primarily depends on age and sex. Thus, while you keep up with the tempo (pace) set by your instructor in class you may or may not be hitting your fat burning heart rate zone.
Therefore, you need to be aware of your target heart rate and
this is why you will see some people with sports heart rate watches on their wrist which they rely on for accurate measuring so that they're fully optimizing their fat burning efforts.
Going above the fat burning heart rate zone will enhance your cardio-vascular endurance more and burn fat less. Going below will only focus on maintenance and warm-up and also will not burn fat.
Experienced instructors will know which pace to maintain so that most (if not all) participants will be within their fat burning heart rate zones. They decide this just by taking one simple look at the composition of the class in terms of average age.
Younger groups need to have a faster pace to reach their target heart rate zone while older groups need a slower pace to reach the same fat burning heart beat range. Thus, taking aerobics class with a more experienced instructor does make a difference.
In the end, aerobics is a great way of getting rid of unwanted fat and it's also fun as well. In the long run Aerobics will jack up your metabolism enough to make your body a fat burning furnace. In other words, after several months of regular Aerobics exercise you will be burning fat even while you are resting. That's right!
What better way to burn fat than to listen to music and feed off the energy of a group of people enjoying the same form of exercise!
