| It might take you a few tries to get into the perfect balanced position. Just take your time setting up and getting the balance right. You want to work up to the point where you can hold in this position for more than 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Having said the above, some people have a really hard time getting the balance aspect of this exercise down and are never able to find the perfect balance. If this happens to you, move on and select another exercise for your core (midsection). There are certainly plenty to choose from; no need to frustrate yourself with one particular exercise. Furthermore, this exercise could also be hard to do if your gym doesn't have a disk. Some gyms are not well equipped and this type of accessory is certainly one of those things that could be missing at lesser-equipped places. On the other hand, if you're a member of a large gym you may find plenty of balance disks and can also see the multitude of uses they have. We personally like balance disks because they offer trainers and those who exercise a great chance to expand their exercise playbook. And, let's not forget that the are simply comfortable. They perfectly conform to the contours of your body. |
